Troubleshooting
1. Data upload is not timely. When it is found that the background data of the ETC gantry is not uploaded in time or is intermittent, it may be due to unstable 4G router signal. You can enter the communication room and observe the number of router signal indicator lights to judge the signal strength. If the signal strength is relatively strong, If the signal strength is four bars but still cannot be uploaded in time, you need to report it to the mechanical and electrical maintenance personnel and contact the manufacturer for further investigation.
2. Data is not uploaded or there is no heartbeat. When you find that the background data of the ETC gantry is not uploaded or there is no heartbeat, you should first report it to the mechanical and electrical maintenance personnel in time, and then enter the communication room to check the working status of the 4G router:
1. All indicator lights are off. If the lights are still off after a power outage and restart, the power cord needs to be replaced. If it still does not light up after replacing the cord, it is judged that the router hardware is faulty and needs to be repaired by the manufacturer;
2. If any indicator light is on, after reporting the fault, power off and restart according to the guidance of mechanical and electrical maintenance personnel. If the data is still not restored after restarting, you need to switch to the 4G backup link.
Switch 4G backup link
The method of switching backup links on each road section may be different, but the principle is the same, which is to let the firewall replace the transmission link. Take the solution built during site removal as an example. The industrial 4G router serves as the main link and has two network ports connected to the main and backup firewalls respectively. You only need to unplug the two network ports on the router or the corresponding firewall network port ( Generally (port 6 of the main firewall and port 7 of the backup firewall), you can switch to China Unicom 4G backup link, and then enter the gantry background to observe whether the data is uploaded normally. Remember not to power off the industrial router directly, as it may cause other failures.
As an important part of the ETC gantry system, the 4G transmission link requires the focus of each toll station and mechanical and electrical maintenance personnel to ensure stable transmission of the gantry 4G link and timely upload of gantry data.
